Stirling & Area Christian Community Care Inc. (SACC Inc.)
We are a register charity created from a need to serve those in our own community. We launched inSeptember 1992 - it is an Evangelical organization with representation from area churches as well as the community at large. Mission statement - "to share in the Spirit of Christ's love, our talents and resources; and to develop with all the residents of the Stirling area, a true sense of Christian community".
Our Services
Community Cupboard
The Community Cupboard, (The Foodbank) - serves citizens of Stirling Rawdon. Residents visit monthly and are provided with fresh produce as well as boxed and canned goods.
Christmas Sharing
Provides assistance to local families during the Christmas season. Registration takes place at the Foodbank during the month of November with the food hampers being distributed the week before Christmas.
Toy Drive
The Stirling Toy Drive is a subsidiary of the Christmas Sharing program where clients can register their children for toys.
Stirling & Area Christian Community Care Inc. is a founding member of Quinte Region Food Share Shelter (QRFSS), a network of rural food banks in Hastings, Prince Edward and Lennox and Addington County. Under the QRFSS banner, SACCC Inc. belongs to Feed Ontario as well as Food Banks Canada.
